Our Big News

Things I am envious of today:

~people who don't get 'morning sickness' a.k.a. 'all day all the time sickness'
~having enough energy to function through the day without really wishing for a nap
~people who have the day off today and don't have to go do a bazillion massages this afternoon

The reason these things come to mind lately is because I'm experiencing the opposite!  I was going to wait longer to share the news but it seems to be slipping out all over the place anyway so I decided to share now. There is a baby on the way!  In early January we'll meet this new person that is residing in me right now.  I.  Can't.  Explain.  The.  Excitement!  So Happy to be growing a human!

4-H camp

Last week we went to 4-H camp.  The kids had a blast.  The mosquitos had a feast.  The grownups wished they had time for a nap.  I came home with 2 Very tired kiddos and a painful sunburn.  All so worth it.

There was never a lack of fun things to do.  3 days didn't feel long enough to the kids, they wanted to stay all week, and longer!
There were moments of nostalgia for me as this is the same camp that I went to for 4-H camp.  It made me miss being 12 for a minute.  (only for a minute).
The kids were blown away at how OLD the camp must be if Shar and I went there as kids (because we're SO very old:).
Spencer, Emmy and I stopped at Grandma Moon's when we left camp.  Here is what they did immediately after we got there.  (So did I, in another part of the house).
Oh so tired, and the kids are already oh so excited to do it again next year.

Happy 4th and such

Nothing like a small town parade!  Start to finish it was almost 40 minutes long (which is on the longish side for here).  Spencer was excited to see his Aunt and his cousin in the parade.  I am having trouble posting the rest of the pictures from the weekend of the 4th.  Consider this a half post, perhaps I'll finish it at some point.  No promises though!

Mary Lynn finally came to visit!

The title pretty much says it all.  The kids had a blast and didn't want our fun few days to end when it was time for them to go home.   And me too!  I had that much fun too and so didn't want it to end!
